Australian Visa Application - what are the Australian Visa Requirements I need to fulfull?
If you are thinking of travelling to Australia for any reason, perhaps a holiday, or to work or even to live you will need first to get permission and I don't mean from friends or family! Unfortunately for most countries you will need to ask the government of that country whether you may enter, travel through or stay in the country. This is called a Visa, and in its simplest definition it is your permission slip.
The visa however does not necessarily guarantee you entry to the country you want to travel to, in this case Australia. It is important to understand the visa can be likened to the key to the door, and although you have the ability to enter, immigration officials (aka the bodyguards) may still decide not to let you through. This is not a big issue for Australia and as long as you are a good citizen, you should have no problem.
Some countries also restrict entry based on appearance, clothing, amount of money and medical status of the traveller, but in most cases you will not find harsh restrictions in Australia. However you may need to show you have sufficient funds to cover your trip, submit to health checks and prove your ongoing travel arrangements, depending on the type of Australian visa you possess.
